Public viewing children's event for the children of the Toni Kroos Foundation

On behalf of the Toni Kroos Foundation, which has been supporting seriously ill children since 2015, we have come up with an exciting football event for the young patients at the Amsterdamer Strasse children's clinic in Cologne. The Toni Kroos Foundation is currently working with five institutions in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Greifswald and Viersen to help seriously ill children quickly and without red tape. With the foundation, the dedicated team around professional footballer Toni Kroos wants to take responsibility and ensure that the donations reach exactly where they are really needed: with the children and their families.

Planned football event for kids: Public viewing in Cologne children's hospital

In keeping with the 2020 European Championships, we had come up with an exciting football event including public viewing for the kids in the Cologne Children's Hospital together with Sagt-ja. Lots of fun football-themed activities were planned for the children's event in June 2020: goodie bags for the kids, a tombola, a football bouncy castle, a goal wall and lots of creative craft activities. Among other things, the children could have designed their own reusable slush ice cups with football motifs in the style of the foundation or decorated paper flags with colors and stickers so that they could cheer on Toni Kroos and the national team in the European Championship game afterwards.

Giving children joy despite Corona: digital gift campaign with the Toni Kroos Foundation

Due to Corona, neither the 2020 European Championship nor our public viewing event for the children of the Toni Kroos Foundation can take place as planned. Despite everything, the Toni Kroos Foundation did not want to miss the opportunity to give the children a little joy. Of course, we were right on board. A separate website was set up in no time at all, which we managed. The children of the foundation could use the site to choose and order a gift for themselves and their siblings as a replacement for the planned football event. The orders were processed via myToys and approved by the foundation. Hundreds of packages have already been sent since Easter. So, despite the adverse circumstances, we were able to give the children and their families a little joy.

We look forward to continuing to organize exciting children’s events and activities on behalf of the Toni Kroos Foundation in the future.
